Just a self-reminder that
Anything Is Possible.
I have done this climb many times before and at my peak, I could climb non-stop from Genting Sempah (Sempah) to Theme Park Hotel. Sometimes, I had extra energy at end of climb and made extensions from Theme Park Hotel to the Amber Court Condos.
Today's climb was extra special - I did it with zero training. Due to stress at work, training has taken a back seat of late (so is this blog). Also, I am about to embark on a new career but my self-confidence took some bashing lately. Today's ride was to remind myself what Ironman has thought me all these years - i.e. Anything Is Possible!!!!
Started from the Orang Asli Hospital in Gombak and had 2 stops at Sempah and Awana Hotel before quitting the climb at the Pagoda (Chin Swee Temple-about 2km to the summit). At my present fitness level, I could not possibly complain about not reaching the summit.

Short break outside Awana Hotel. Received sms from wife asking how were the mountains treating me. Here was my reply:-
"Killing me - I hv aged so much!! at awana taking a break"
It rained heavily as I descended from the Pagoda. It was freezing cold riding under such conditions, which made me feel that coming down was much tougher than going up.
I am sure to come back for more - I missed these mountains very much. Will regain my previous form and ride Sempah - Theme Park non-stop.
