IRONMAN TRAINING IS IN FULL SWING WHEN....

  1. All my pants become extremely loose;
  2. Training starts to feel like a second job;
  3. My teeth feels numb chewing too much of those nasty things called PowerBars;
  4. 20km becomes a short run;
  5. My mum starts nagging about my apparent lost of weight. “You are too skinny, son!!!”;
  6. 100km on the bike feels like a short ride;
  7. The chinese shop assistant starts talking to me in malay (b'cos of the tan), when I make my refill stop some where near Mantin;
  8. Lunch time on weekends is often at 4.00 p.m. (after a long ride);
  9. A long swim set is at least 1x3000;
  10. I start to become an absentee husband/ father (and I really hate that);
  11. My weight dips below 60kg (despite eating more than usual);
  12. 1x500 feels like a short swim set;
  13. A long ride on Saturday is (most likely than not) followed up by a long run on Sunday;
  14. I am dead tired every Monday;
  15. A long ride will be least a 200km;
  16. I am out of the house riding a bike or running before first light every weekend;
  17. Running 12-15 laps at KLCC park is routine;
  18. Long run > 30km;
  19. The sight of PowerBar/ PowerGel makes me SICK;
  20. Time seems to pass by so quickly and before I know it, it will soon be time for tapering; and
  21. Waking up at 7.00 a.m. for work on a week day is sleeping late.
